Registration takes place at City Hall West Annex 3031 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 90503
The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression.

The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program.

This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per 10 youth at Elementary School and one staff member per 13 youth at Middle Schools.

Enrollment is limited at all schools. PLEASE NOTE: The After School Club Program is designed for Torrance Residents. Torrance residents will have the first opportunity to register for the program. After the resident registration, Non-Torrance residents will have an opportunity to register for any remaining spaces.

The After School Club Program follows the TUSD calendar and meets on campus Monday-Friday after school until 6 p.m. The program is offered at the following schools:

The program will be offered at no charge every Friday from 10-12:00 p.m. Call Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. for that week's Friday Fun program. The program will incorporate story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic, Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities. The topics emphasize respect for all living things and prepare the children (and parents) to be good stewards of the planet. Free! Donations accepted. Pre-registration is required. Starting June 1, 2012, 50 person limit for this program. You must register to attend. You may register on Saturdays at 12 noon for the following Saturday's Habitat Restoration Program or you may register by contacting the Madrona Marsh Nature Center at 310-782-3989. If you plan to attend with a group each person must individually sign up. If you no show after you have signed up, you may not sign up again for 2 weeks. Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

You’ll see planes that have prepared thousands of winged war-fighters through multiple conflicts. Visit with the aircraft and their pilots. As a special bonus (Noon) noted aviation photojournalist Frank Mormillo will make a fascinating presentation on Military Trainers. Capture history while you still can. Refreshments and souvenirs available. As always, WMOF Members are free; non-members are $5, which also includes access to WMOF museum exhibits. Free parking.
