The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library will be closed due to the Armed Forces Day Parade. Outside materials returns may be obstructed by parade staging. All other Torrance Libraries are open from 10:00 - 5:00 and outside materials returns are available at branch locations.

Children ages 7 and up are invited to learn about the Towers of Simon Rodia, also known as Watts Towers. Through film, stories and a hands-on art project learn about how the towers were created and other unique artists driven by nothing but their dreams. This program is free and no registration is required - recommended for ages 7 and up due to the length of the stories and the art materials used. Presented by the Torrance Public Library and the Torrance Art Museum, sponsored by the Friends of the Torrance Library. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. This group is free, sponsored by the Friends of the Torrance Library, but registration is required.
