After School Club Resident Walk-In Registration

Date: Wed, Aug 22, 2012 Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Description: The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression.

The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program.

This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per 10 youth at Elementary School and one staff member per 13 youth at Middle Schools.

Enrollment is limited at all schools. PLEASE NOTE: The After School Club Program is designed for Torrance Residents. Torrance residents will have the first opportunity to register for the program. After the resident registration, Non-Torrance residents will have an opportunity to register for any remaining spaces.

The After School Club Program follows the TUSD calendar and meets on campus Monday-Friday after school until 6 p.m. The program is offered at the following schools:

All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older.

Summer Camps

Come to summer camp and enjoy fun filled days participating in indoor crafts, outdoor games, walking field trips and an excursion every week! Torrance Summer Camps will hold 10 weekly sessions from Monday, June 18, 2012 to Friday, August 24, 2012, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Fees range from $125 to $155 per week. Fun Camp, for ages 6-11, is held at Greenwood Park and La Romeria Park. Teen Camp, for ages 12-14, is held at Greenwood Park. Sports Camp, for ages 7-13, is held at Wilson Park. Extended Care is also available for Camps. Morning Care is 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Fees are $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents. Tuesday and Wednesday Weeders

Join the group and gain expertise about weeds of the South Bay. This program is for adults willing to make a minimum commitment of 50-100 hours or more per year.
