The panel will consist of: Artists, writers, curators and gallery owners who are experts in the field of painting and have in depth knowledge of current paiting trends in Los Angeles.  Panel includes:  Kevin Appel, Catlin Moore, Max Presneill, Christopher Pate and Grant Vetter and will be moderated by Jason Ramos.

Preceeding the panel discussion:  
1-2pm - Artist Karen Cope will be doing a live sculpture demonstration using her &quot;drawing in space&quot; method of sculpting
2-3 pm - Grant Vetter will read and discuss his 2012 book, The Architecture of Control: A Contribution to the Critique of the Science of Apparatuses.
