Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away.

Meeting are open to anyone interested in joining this chapter or another chapter of Audubon or if your interest is in the guest speaker appearing at the meeting. Learn how to: prepare soil for planting on the Marsh, grow native plants for restoration and fund raising events at the Madrona Marsh, 'pot up' plants to larger containers, collect and 'clean' seeds and prune native plants in the nursery. This program is held weekly and is best for all ages. free.

Join Cindy Reid every Friday for this educational, fun program called "Friday Fun." This is a hands-on program for preschoolers ages 3-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program is offered at no charge every Friday from 10 -11:30 a.m. The program incorporates story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities added. Topics (insects, animals or plants) emphasize respect for all living things and prepare children to be good stewards of the planet. 20 kids maximum. Pre-registration is required, please call the Nature Center to register (310)782-3989. $5 donation accepted.
