Join us as the Librarian presents stories, songs and activities. Toddlertime is designed for children eighteen months to three years old, participating with a parent or caregiver. This program is free and no registration is required, however space is limited so please arrive on time. Storytimes are designed for individual families and cannot accommodate organized groups or group daycare providers. The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library is closed due to the Armed Forces Day Parade. Outside materials returns may be obstructed by parade staging. All other Torrance Libraries will be open regular hours, and online resources will be available.

Starting June 1, 2012, 50 person limit for this program. You must register to attend. You may register on Saturdays at 12 noon or you may register by calling the Nature Center at; (310)782-3989. If you plan to attend with a group each person must individually sign up. If you no show after you have signed up, you may not sign up again for 2 weeks. Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompnied by a parent or guardian.

Matsuri of Faith is an exciting all-church event on our Torrance campus, and features a day filled with fellowship, food and entertainment. Signature hand-crafted ethnic foods including gourmet Asian hot dogs, chicken teri, tri-tip, chirashi and inari sushi, udon noodle, curry, yakisoba, malasada, lumpia, lau-lau, tamales, spam musubi, chili rice, shave ice, home-made baked goods and more! There will also be fresh produce, plants and handicrafts available for purchase, as well as a silent auction.
