This is the story of a church who wants to send their pastor and his wife on a vacation trip but the money somehow comes up missing.

The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program.

This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools.

PLEASE NOTE: The After School Club Program is designed for Torrance Residents. Torrance residents will have the first opportunity to register for the program. After the resident registration, Non-Torrance residents will have an opportunity to register for any remaining spaces.

The After School Club Program follows the TUSD calendar and meets on campus Monday-Friday after school until 6:00 p.m. The program is offered at the following schools:

It is operated in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works. This class is held the 1st Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and repeats that following Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Topics range from 'edible seeds and berrys' to 'Chaparrel Communites and Pruning techniques'. This months topic is: hide that ugly wall- tricks to using native plants as camouflage. After each presentation, Connie will lead the class through the Madrona Marsh Nature Center's Native Plant Garden to illustrate key points and further discussion. Handouts are included. Tim’s incredible career includes 20 albums with the biggest record labels in the country and his bands have been known as a proving ground for the likes of David Benoit, Art Johnson, and Chuck Alvarez.
