South High Spartan Jazz Band and other South Bay jazz bands, including Peninsula High, PV High, and Narbonne High will perform from 11am to 2pm at South Coast Botanic Garden on Sunday, October 9th. The event is free to youth 18 and under and $10 for those over 18. Twist Burger Mobile Food Truck will provide hamburgers and hot dogs for purchase. The main event of the Peninsula Music Promenade will follow at 2:30pm at Chadwick School and will feature classical artists and ehtnic performances. Youth tickets are available at $10 and adults at $45 at www.pvpen4LAPhil.org. Presented by the Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic, a non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote youth music education. All proceeds will be used for youth music education programs such as Music Mobile in Torrance and other South Bay cities and for the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
