Join the Propagation Society and Linda Gonzales as we plant seeds for the future of the Preserve. Learn how to: prepare soil for planting on the Marsh, grow native plants for restoration and fund raising events at the Madrona Marsh, 'pot up' plants to larger containers, collect and 'clean' seeds and prune native plants in the nursery. This program is held weekly and is best for all ages. free.

Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompnied by a parent or guardian.

The North Torance Library will close one hour early, at 7:00 p.m., to conduct an Area Disaster Center drill. Did you know your neighborhood library becomes an Area Disaster Center in case of an emergency? Library staff, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Torrance Amateur Radio Association (TARA),and other disaster workers use the Library to provide information and assistance in case of a disaster. Library staff will be conducting a drill of these responsibilities, outside materials returns will be open.
