Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompnied by a parent or guardian.

Please join CSUDH professor Dr. Connie Vanheim for entertaining and educational classes on various native plant topics. Every month is a different topic - never the same class twice! Topics range from 'Edible Seeds and Berries' to 'Chaparrel Communities and Pruning Techniques'. After each presentation, Connie will lead the class through the Nature Center's Native Plant Garden to illustrate key points and further discussion. Handouts are included. THIS MONTH'S TOPIC IS "ThroughThe Year: Native Plants and Pink Flowers." This class is best for adults. $5 donation accepted.

Registration for the 2012 Adult Basketball Winter Leagues is underway. Leagues will commence in late January at the Dee Hardison Sports Center at Wilson Park. Leagues are available on Tuesday evening, Wednesday evening, Sunday afternoon and Sunday evenings.
League fees are $710 (includes Referee Fees).
Start Time:
Sunday Afternoon – 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00 pm
Sunday Evening – 5:00, 6:00 & 7:00 pm
Tuesday Evening – 7:30, 8:30 & 9:30 pm

Registration for the 2012 Adult Softball Winter Leagues is underway. Leagues will commence in late January at the Wilson Park and El Nido Park. Coed, Men's Leagues are Sunday - Friday.
League fees are $600 - Resident Teams, or $650 Non-Resident Teams (includes Referee Fees).
Start Time:
Mens & Coed Leagues are Monday through Friday – Game Times are at 6:30, 7:40 & 8:50 p.m.
Mens Leagues are Sunday afternoon – Game times are at 1:00, 2:10 and 3:20 p.m.
