You may register on Saturdays at 12 noon for the following Saturday or you may register by contacting the Madrona Marsh Nature Center at 310-782-3989. If you plan to attend with a group each person must individually sign up. If you no show after you have signed up, you may not sign up again for 2 weeks. Join us for our restoration program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain cancels this program. Late comers will be sent away. If you are 15 years or younger you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Join the Torrance Historical Society for a Summer Stroll -- a docent-led tour into some of the hip new restaurants in Old Torrance for a sip & a snack, and a peek into the past behind the brick and mortar.
When Torrance was founded 100 years ago, business began to build. Downtown Torrance, which was in the center of the original footprint of the City, soon became the heartbeat of the town. A century later, many a business has come and gone through those old buildings - they each have a story to tell.
Not only will you learn the building’s history, you'll see old photos showing the “before”, as you stand in the “now.”
Some of the buildings on tour include - The Red Car, Tortilla Cantina, BFD, Just Luigi’s, Amore Vino, Torrance Bakery, and more.
This fundraising event has limited space and is for those 21years-of-age, and older. Must RSVP by Monday, Aug. 6th!

You’ll see planes that have prepared thousands of winged war-fighters through multiple conflicts. Visit with the aircraft and their pilots.
As a special bonus (Noon) noted aviation photojournalist Frank Mormillo will make a fascinating presentation on Military Trainers.
