The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at elementary schools and one staff member per thirteen youth at middle schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools. All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older. Walk-in registration begins August 23, 2016. Torrance youth, don’t spend summer at home! Come to Summer Camp and enjoy fun filled days participating in indoor crafts, outdoor games, walking field trips and an excursion every week. Torrance Summer Camps will be in session Monday, June 27, 2016 – Friday, September 2, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Fees range from $130 to $155 per week. Summer Day Camps will be held at Greenwood Park, La Romeria Park and Wilson Park. Teen Camp will be held at Greenwood Park. Morning Care and Extended Care will be available at all camps for an additional fee.
