The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at elementary schools and one staff member per thirteen youth at middle schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools. All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older. Walk-in registration begins August 23, 2016. Join us for an evening with producer and author Joe Siegman as he discusses new book Bats, Balls, and Hollywood Stars: Hollywood's Love Affair with Baseball. The book tells the fascinating story of Hollywood Stars Night, an annual baseball game at Dodger Stadium where celebrities from Rat Pack stars Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to Kevin Costner, Rob Lowe, Billy Crystal, Ray Romano and hundreds of other of Hollywood’s icons played a real baseball game at Dodgers Stadium. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
