Reflecting on his past five years as Secretary of the Air Force, Mike Donley will outline the strategic challenges facing the nation’s air and space force and how it seeks to balance competing needs. In the middle of wartime changing security environment, inventories, and declining resources, what has the Air Force determined to be the best way forward, and why? Donley has over 35 years of experience in the national security community, including the US Senate, the White House, and the Pentagon. He has worked for five presidents and six secretaries of defense of both political parties, and stepped down in 2013 as the longest serving Secretary of the Air Force.
