The program is offered at no charge every Friday from 10 -11:30 a.m. The program incorporates story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities added. Topics (insects, animals or plants) emphasize respect for all living things and prepare children to be good stewards of the planet. 20 kids maximum. Topics range from 'Edible Seeds and Berries' to 'Chaparrel Communities and Pruning Techniques'. After each presentation, Connie will lead the class through the Nature Center's Native Plant Garden to illustrate key points and further discussion. Handouts are included. THIS MONTH'S TOPIC IS "ThroughThe Year: Native Plants and Pink Flowers." This class is best for adults. $5 donation accepted.
