Dee Hardison Sports Center at Charles H. Wilson Park at 2400 Jefferson Street
Registration for the 2012 Adult Basketball Winter Leagues is underway. Leagues will commence in late January at the Dee Hardison Sports Center at Wilson Park. Leagues are available on Tuesday evening, Wednesday evening, Sunday afternoon and Sunday evenings. League fees are $710 (includes Referee Fees). Start Time: Sunday Afternoon – 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00 pm Sunday Evening – 5:00, 6:00 & 7:00 pm Tuesday Evening – 7:30, 8:30 & 9:30 pm Wednesday Evening – 7:00, 8:00 & 9:00 pm Mens & Coed Leagues – Monday through Friday – Game Times at 6:30 pm, 7:40 pm & 8:50 pm Mens Leagues – Sunday Afternoon – Game times at 1:00, 2:10 & 3:20 p.m. Coed Leagues – Sunday Evening – Game Times at 6:00, 7:10 & 8:20 p.m.

Registration for the 2012 Adult Softball Winter Leagues is underway. Leagues will commence in late January at the Wilson Park and El Nido Park. Coed, Men's Leagues are Sunday - Friday. League fees are $600 - Resident Teams, or $650 Non-Resident Teams (includes Referee Fees). Start Time: Mens & Coed Leagues are Monday through Friday – Game Times are at 6:30, 7:40 & 8:50 p.m. Mens Leagues are Sunday afternoon – Game times are at 1:00, 2:10 and 3:20 p.m. Coed Leagues – Sunday Evening – Game Times are at 6:00, 7:10 and 8:20 p.m.

Madrona Marsh Nature Center & Preserve
Take a stroll with Dave Moody and Ron Melin as you identify the different species of birds at the Madrona Marsh as well as other parks throughout the City of Torrance. This walk is welcome to all ages and is free. Re-occurs on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Tuesday of every month.

This program is for adults only. No highschool or college kids please. Volunteers should want to commit 50 - 100 hours a year for this program.

A Librarian will share music, movement, nursery rhymes, games and other activities with caregivers and infants six to eighteen months old in this program designed to build pre-literacy skills. This program is free and no registration is required, however space is limited so please arrive on time. Storytimes are designed for individual families and cannot accommodate organized groups or group daycare providers.
