Veterans’ Memorial Wall, City Hall, 3031 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance
It will celebrate the Torrance Historical Society’s completion of research and inclusion of the story of each name on the Memorial Wall to honor these Torrance veterans, which was dedicated on March 19, 2005.

During WWII, the MIS was secretly formed by the US Army and was mostly comprised of Japanese American men. These men were responsible for helping persuade the surrender of many Japanese troops and helping many civilians avoid the path of suicide that they would have otherwise taken.
