Registration takes place at City Hall West Annex 3031 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 90503
The After School Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program.

This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools.

PLEASE NOTE: The After School Club Program is designed for Torrance Residents. Torrance residents will have the first opportunity to register for the program. After the resident registration, Non-Torrance residents will have an opportunity to register for any remaining spaces.

The After School Club Program follows the TUSD calendar and meets on campus Monday-Friday after school until 6:00 p.m. The program is offered at the following schools:

Madrona Marsh Nature Center and Preserve, 3201 Plaza Del Amo, Torrance
"Friday Fun" is a hands-on program for preschoolers, ages 3-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program will be offered at no charge every Friday from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon. Please register on Tuesday mornings for that weeks Friday Fun Program. The program will incorporate story time, science, art and a tour emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weeks there will also be potting or other activities. The topics emphasize respect for all living things and prepare children (and parents) to be good stewards of the planet. Free! Friends Members Only pre-sale from 2 to 6 pm (memberships sold at the door starting at 1 pm). The Friends of the Torrance Library will offer a great selection of encyclopedias, reference material, children's books and thousands of books on a vast array of topics - all at bargain prices. A variety of records, CDs, cassette tapes, VHS tapes and DVDs will be offered.
