Join us for our Habitat Restoration Program every Saturday from 8:45 a.m. - 12 noon on the Madrona Marsh Preserve planting natives, weeding, propagating or maybe watering new plants. Wear closed toe shoes, bring gloves and be ready to work. Refreshments are provided. Rain or a holiday that fall on a Saturday cancels this program. Be on time - late comers will not be able to work. Winter on the Water's Edge: featuring Ruddy and Black Turnstones, Willets, and Spotted Sandpiper (aside if Surfbird). This program will be held in the Madrona Marsh Nature Center on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon A beginner's guide to birds, bird life and behavior. Each class will include a short presentation about the featured birds followed by a walk on the Madrona Marsh Preserve to look for them. Bring binoculars and wear comfortable shoes. Classes are limited to 20 students. Pre-registration is required. Ages 9+. Free! Donations accepted. Pre-registration is required.
