Join Cindy Reid every Friday for this educational, fun program called "Friday Fun." This is a hands-on program for preschoolers ages 2-6 years and their parents or guardians. The program will be offered at no charge every Friday from 10am to 11:30am. The program will incorporate story time, science, art and a trou emphasizing the chosen topic. Some weekes there will also be potting or other activities added. The topics will emphasize respect for all living things and registration is required. 25 person maximum. Seven in One Blow, Or the Brave Little Kid tells the story of a child living in the city who kills seven flies with a single swat and makes a belt emblazoned with "Seven on One Blow" to commemorate the event. The kid travels about meeting numerous colorful characters. Along the way a few invaluable lessons are learned and in the end the kid ultimately discovers that a parent's love and care has no limits.
Partridge in a Pear Tree is constructed around the gifts of the twelve days of Christmas described in the well known medieval carol. It is the story of how Tib, a young lady, finally ends up marrying Simon, the bird seller in the right way instead of the way her scheming, domineering mother had planned. A perfect holiday outing for young and old alike!!!
