"Showing the Beauty of the Marsh - Part III" various mediums by Pacific Arts by artist Al Hagen begins today. View the works of local artists portraying the beauty of the Madrona Marsh Preserve. Open walk-in registration begins August 26, 2013. The After School Club Program is geared towards youth in elementary and middle schools. This recreation program is designed to promote self-esteem through group interaction and self-expression. The program offers games, sports, music, group discussions, guest speakers and a wide variety of activities. Structured time is set aside for homework each day. This is not a tutorial based program. This program is based on a ratio of one staff member per ten youth at Elementary School and one staff member per thirteen youth at Middle Schools. Enrollment is limited at all schools. All participants must be a student at the school for which they are registering and also must be picked up by an adult, age 18 or older. Volunteers are needed for habitat restoration every Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Join the group and gain expertise about weeds of the South Bay.
