Volunteer coaches are needed for the City's Youth Volleyball Leagues. Volunteers must be 17 years old. You will need to fill out an application at: www.TorranceCA.Gov/VolunteerProgram.htm, then go to Human Resources (3231 Torrance Blvd.) and pick up a Volunteer Fingerprint Form and get your fingerprints done (at no cost to you). At the end of the season, when you have returned your equipment - you will receive a full refund of you registration fee as a thank you for your service. It's a lot of fun, don't miss out!

Youth Volleyball Leagues are for youth grades 4th - 8th and Clinic is for youth grades 2nd - 4th. Registration is going on right now for Torrance residents and will begin March 7, 2017 for non- residents. All games and the Clinic will be played at the Dee Hardison Sports Center at Wilson Park. Presentation on signaling from mountaintop to mountaintop by using mirrors and the use of Ham radio and solar mirrors from mountain peaks across Southern California. The use of handheld radios to support the activity since cell phone access is not available in these remote areas.
