Registration takes place at City Hall West Annex 3031 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 90503
The City of Torrance Community Services Department invites Torrance residents to take advantage of Early Day Camp Registration for Torrance Residents beginning May 13, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Registration Office, located at 3031 Torrance Blvd. Registration can be reached at (310) 618-2720. Torrance Summer Camps will be in session Monday, June 23, 2014 Friday, August 29, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Resident fees range from $130 to $140 per week. Summer Fun Camp Ages 6-11 Greenwood Park, 1520 Greenwood Avenue La Romeria Park, 19501 Inglewood Avenue Summer Teen Camp Ages 12-14 Greenwood Park, 1520 Greenwood Avenue Summer Sports Camp Ages 7-13 Wilson Park, 2200 Crenshaw Blvd. EXTENDED CARE: Is available for Torrance Summer Camps. Morning Care is 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. After Care is 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fee for Morning Care or After Care is for $20 per week for residents. The Registration Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be closed alternating Fridays. Madrona Marsh Nature Center and Preserve, 3201 Plaza Del Amo, Torrance
Join the Propagation Society and Linda Gonzales as we plant seeds for the Madrona Marsh Preserve. Learn how to: prepare soil for planting on the marsh, grow native plants for restoration and fund raising events at the Madrona Marsh, 'pot up' plants to larger containers, collect and 'clean' seeds and prune native plants in the nursery. This program occurs every Thursday of every month from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Best for adults and college age students. Ages 21+. Free!
