Herb Ohta Jr., son of Ukulele Hall of Fame inductee Ohta-San, discovered early on that Hawaiian music is in his blood and the ukulele in his genes. Although reminiscent of his father’s, Herb’s style is distinct and recognizable as his own. As a teacher, composer, recording artist and producer, Herb shares the beauty of Hawaii’s music, its culture, and the wonders of the ukulele all over the world. A seven-time Na Hoku Hanohano Award Nominee and a two-time Hawaiian Music Award Winner, Herb has two releases in Japan and co-authored two ukulele instructional books with Grammy Award winning artists Daniel Ho.
