The City of Torrance Fire and Police Departments are joining together to sponsor a fact-filled, informative and enlightening presentation for Torrance Businesses and Torrance residents on how to avoid becoming a victim of fire protection fraud.  This seminar will also teach other local fire agencies how to reduce fraud in their communities and how to make enforcement efforts more effective.

This seminar will be presented by experts in the Fire and Police fields and is completely free of charge to any Torrance businesses or residents.

The seminar will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the Toyota Meeting Hall which is located adjacent to the Armstrong Theater.  Registration and refreshments will be served at 8:30 and the seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer period for you to ask any of your fire protection, law enforcement or legal questions and have them answered by our panel of experts.
