DAY CAMP PROGRAMS

The Recreation Services Division offers camps for children ages 6-14 during winter, spring and summer vacation. Each one week session includes arts, crafts, cooking, games, entertainment and a special excursion. Camp meets 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (participants may also register for extended supervision from 7 - 8:30 a.m. or 4:30 - 6 p.m.) Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes and a sack lunch with a drink are required each day. Camp t-shirts are available for $7 per shirt and must be worn on all excursions.  

Weekly Newsletters will be available for each camp. They will be updated online and will be available at the camp.

Important Information

Please bring a completed Camper Emergency Form to the first day of camp.

If your child needs to take medication while at camp, please complete the Medication Policy.

If your child has a severe allergy, please complete the Severe Allergy Medication Form.

SPORTS CAMP at WILSON PARK

Wilson Park: 2200 Crenshaw Boulevard

    


The Recreation Services Division offers a recreational athletic camp for youngsters 7-14 years of age.  Each one-week session offers your choice between four specialties: Basketball, Softball, Cheerleading and Soccer.

They are specifically designed to teach and develop training skill, basic individual skills, team building strategies and concepts, building confidence and self-discipline and to have fun while learning these valuable skills.  Additionally, the participants will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that include volleyball, games, hockey, table games, group games, crafts and much more. 

Camp meets at Wilson Park. Sign in and sign out will take place at the Wilson Park Field Office located at the top of the hill between the softball fields. Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Participants may also register for extended supervision from 7 -8:30 a.m. or 4:30 - 6 p.m.).  The program includes mid-morning and lunch time beverages.  Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes and a sack lunch with a drink are required each day.  Camp t-shirts are available for $7 per shirt and must be worn when on all excursions. Shirts may be purchased at the Registration Counter or at the camp.

TEEN CAMP at GREENWOOD PARK

Greenwood Park: 1520 Greenwood Avenue

Middle School Youth ages 12-14 will relate to fun filled break full of exciting activities with teen their age. Each on-week session includes walking field trip, arts crafts cooking, sports, entertainment, a special excursion and much more. Teen Camp is designed to provide a positive camp experience in an age appropriate structured environment. Camp is at Greenwood Park from (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Participants may also register for extended supervision from 7 - 8:30 a.m. or 4:30 - 6 p.m.). Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes, a sack lunch with a drink are required each day. Camp t-shirts are available for $7 per shirt and must be worn when not in camp. Shirts can be purchased at the Registration Counter or at the camp.

Day Camp Cancellation and Refund Policy

You must call the Registration Office at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of cmp if you wish to cancel a camp, transfer to a different week of camp if you wish to cancel a camp, transfer to a different week of camp, obtain a credit on account OR to obtain a refund. No credits, transfers or refunds will be issued after this time. A 20% administrative fee will be deducted for each week in which a refund is given.
