Special Needs Programs

PALS (People Actively Learning and Sharing)
A social club for teens and adults with intellectual disabilities that offers dances, social activities, a quarterly newsletter, and more!  The annual fee (January-December) is $20 for Torrance residents and $25 for non-residents.  The PALS membership fee includes the Special Needs Sports Program.

Special Needs Sports
This is an integrated year-round sports program for youth (aged 13 and older) and adults with intellectual disabilities. Weekly practice locations vary and competitions are held throughout Southern California. Seasonal sports include basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, flag football, lap swim, soccer, softball, snowshoeing, and tennis. The annual fee includes the PALS membership and must be paid prior to participation.

Special Olympics
This is a competitive sports and training program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Sports are offrered on a seasonal basis.  Registration occurs in January and August.  Special Olympics registration and medical releases are required prior to participation.

Special Needs Day Camp for Teens                NEW!!!

Come join us for a fun-filled day camp specially designed for teens with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
The camp offers games, arts & crafts, walking field trips and a special excursion each week

Once you are registered for the class, please print out the Special Needs Camp Emergency Form and if applicable, the Medication and Severe Allergy form. 
Bring these completed forms to the first day of camp.
