Park Program Description

The park program will reopen June 24, 2013!

   
The Park Program is offered at 13 park facilities during summer break Monday through Friday from 12 to 4 p.m.  The Summer 2013 program is scheduled to begin June 24 and will run for 9 weeks through August 23, 2013. Staff will lead participants in a variety of crafts and recreational games.  The program is free and is offered at the parks listed below.
The Mini Kids Club Program will resume June 24, 2013.

About the Carpenter Wagon: Children ages 6-14 can make mailboxes, toolboxes, birdhouses and more!  The City of Torrance Community Services Department, in partnership with The Home Depot, provided wood crafts and assistance in creating them.  Parents/Guardians must be present must be present in order for children to participate. Sessions are limited to 20 children.  Registration will be taken 10 minutes prior to the start of each session.  There is a limit of one session per child per day, and projects will vary based on availability.  Sessions are offered from 12 - 12:50 p.m., 1 - 1:50 p.m. and 2 - 2:50 p.m.
