Park Program Description

 

Torrance Parks open for Summer!

Parks are open Monday-Friday from noon-4:00 p.m. Activities are free! (Pueblo Park is open Monday-Saturday.)
The Park Program is a non-custodial drop-in program where children can come and go as they please. The Park Program is offered at 13 park facilities during winter, spring and summer breaks. 
  
Staff will lead participants in a variety of crafts and recreational games.  The program is free and is offered at the following parks:

*Parks will be closed in the event of rain.    

The Carpenter Wagon will return this summer!

Children ages 6-14 can make mailboxes, toolboxes, birdhouses and more!  The City of Torrance Community Services Department, in partnership with The Home Depot, will provide the wood crafts and assistance in creating them.  Parents/Guardians must be present must be present in order for children to participate. Sessions are limited to 20 children.  Registration will be taken 10 minutes prior to the start of each session.  There is a limit of one session per child per day, and projects will vary based on availability.  Sessions are offered from 12 - 12:50 p.m., 1 - 1:50 p.m. and 2 - 2:50 p.m.
