Park Program Description

     

 

The Summer Park Program starts June 27 and runs through August 26, 2016.

The Park Program is offered at 13 park facilities during summer break Monday through Friday from 12 to 4 p.m. Staff will lead participants in a variety of crafts and recreational games. The program is free and is offered at the parks listed below.

The Carpenter Wagon will resume Summer 2016!

Children ages 6-14 can make mailboxes, toolboxes, birdhouses and more!  The City of Torrance Community Services Department, in partnership with The Home Depot, provide wood crafts and assistance in creating them.  Parents/Guardians must be present must be present in order for children to participate. Sessions are limited to 20 children.  Registration will be taken 10 minutes prior to the start of each session.  There is a limit of one session per child per day, and projects will vary based on availability.  Sessions are offered from 12 - 12:50 p.m., 1 - 1:50 p.m. and 2 - 2:50 p.m. Scroll down for the 2016 dates and locations.
