Lasagna Basic Ingredients:
½ box of lasagna noodles
1 pound of bulk Italian sausage or ground beef
2 jars of marinara sauce
1 container (15 oz) of ricotta cheese
4 cups (16 oz) of shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup (2 oz) of grated parmesan cheese
2 eggs

Optional Farmer's Market Ingredients: (make it your own!)
Fresh Basil

. Preheat over to 375 degrees.
. Cook meat for 5 minutes, drain, add to sauce.
. Begin to heat basic sauce, on low.
. Saute fresh tomatoes, onion, mushrooms and/or other favorite ingredients for about 5 minutes.
. Drain vegetables and add to sauce.
. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 3-1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese and slightly beaten eggs.
. Spray 13x9 or similar baking dish with cooking spray.
. Spread sauce over the bottom of the baking dish.
. Then, place 3-4 UNCOOKED lasagna noodles over the sauce, slightly overlapping.  (They will cook and soften when baking - cool, huh?)
. Then spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles and then cover with sauce.
. Repeat layers - noodles, cheese, sauce until pan is full - it usually takes two layers for pan to be full.  Sprinkle remaining ½ cup of mozzarella cheese over sauce.
. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
. After 30 minutes, remove foil, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
