4 ripe bananas cut into wedges of 4 pieces each
¾ cup golden light brown sugar
1/3  cup of light rum
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbls unsalted butter
4 ½ inch slices of butter pound cake (optional)
4 scoops of vanilla ice cream (optional)
¼ cup of chopped walnuts (optional)

In a medium sauté pan place the butter over medium low heat, add the sugar, rum and cinnamon, cook for 3 minutes. Add the bananas and baste with the sauce and let cook for  2 minutes.  Arrange a slice of the pound cake in each dish, top with the bananas, add a scoop of ice cream and top with the walnuts.
