NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD BEFORE THE CITY OF TORRANCE PLANNING COMMISSION AT 7:00 P.M., FEBRUARY 1, 2017 IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL, 3031 TORRANCE BOULEVARD, TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA, ON THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:

 

CUP16-00030, DIV16-00011, MOD16-00009 (EAS16-00005): Petition of MIKE PATEL (DOMINGUEZ INVESTMENT COMPANY LLC) for adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration, and approval of a Conditional Use Permit to allow a five-story, 127-unit hotel with subterranean parking, a Division of Lot to create a parcel at the project site, and a Modification of a previously approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP 85-65) for a reassessment of required parking at the existing medical and professional office complex and to allow a reciprocal shared-use parking arrangement for the on-grade parking between the complex and the proposed hotel, on property located in the M-2 Zone at 539 Maple Avenue (20770 Madrona Avenue / APN 7352-010-018).

MOD16-00010: Petition of LAURIE PORTER (AVOIAN PROPERTIES) for approval of a Modification of a previously approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP12-00015) to allow the reconfiguration and expansion of an existing tasting room to provide an outdoor seating area, the addition of an outdoor equipment storage area, and the operation of regular mobile food vendor service, in conjunction with an existing brewery, on property located in the M-2 Zone at 1901 Del Amo Boulevard, Unit B.  This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15301 - Existing Facilities.

PRE16-00018: Petition of DONALD THUOTTE (CYNTHIA RUSTANIUS) for approval of a Precise Plan of Development to allow two-story additions and exterior stair landing extension to an existing two-story single family residence on property located within the Hillside Overlay District in the R-1 Zone at 353 Avenida Atezada.  This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. 

PRE16-00017, WAV16-00013: Petition of GARY KUSSMAN for approval of a Precise Plan of Development to allow first and second story additions to an existing two-story single family residence, in conjunction with a Waiver of the rear yard and side yard setback requirements, on property located within the Hillside Overlay District in the R-1 Zone at 300 Calle Mayor.  This project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA per Guidelines Sections 15301 - Existing Facilities and 15305 - Minor Alterations.. 

Material can be review ed in the Community Development Department.  All persons interested in the above matter are requested to be present at the hearing or to submit their comments to the Community Development Department, City Hall, 3031 Torrance Boulevard, Torrance, CA 90503.

If you challenge any of the above matters in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department or the office of the City Clerk, prior to the public hearing and further, by the terms of Resolution No. 88-19, you may be limited to ninety (90) days in which to commence such legal action pursuant to Section 1094.6 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
