Section 8 Rental Assistance Program

       ***THE WAITING LIST IS CLOSED***

City of Torrance
Housing Assistance Office
(310) 618-5840

The Section 8 Rental Assistance Program is a federally-funded program which enables income eligible families, senior citizens, disabled and handicapped persons to reside in privately-owned, decent, safe and sanitary housing.

The Housing Authority does not have immediate openings for the program.  Applications are being accepted so that a Waiting List may be established to serve new applicants as funding becomes available.  Due to the extremely high number of applications we have received, we are not able to accept applications after October 16, 2009.  Applications sent by mail must be post marked by October 16, 2009 to be accepted.

For more information, you may call our recorded information line at (310) 618-2747

Hours: 7:30 - 9:00 AM and 2:00 - 5:30 PM Daily - Closed Alternating Fridays
