Rebates and Classes

 Rebates

Residential Rebates:

  • Premium High Efficiency Toilets
    • Applies to toilets with using 1.1 gallons per flush of less. $40 per Device
  • High Efficiency Clothes Washers
    • Applies to clothes washers with a water factor 3.7 or less. $85/Device
  • Rain Barrels
    • Rain Barrels must hold a minimum of 50 gallons and placed to effectively capture water. $75/Device
  • Cisterns
    • Cisterns must hold a minimum of 200 gallons and placed to effectively capture rain water. $300/Device
  • Rotating Nozzles
    • Multi-trajectory, rotating streams apply water more slowly and uniformly to your landscape, encouraging healthy plant growth. Properly direct water flow and use 20% less water than conventional spray heads. $2/Device (once per address)
  • Weather Based Irrigation Controllers
    • A smart controller will automatically reduce the watering times as the weather gets cooler and less water is needed. $80/Controller for Less than 1 Acre of Landscape & $35/Station for More than 1 Acre of Landscape
  • Soil Moisture Sensors 
    • SoCal Water$mart eligible soil moisture sensor systems (SMSS) must include a sensor and a calibrator (these are typically packaged together in the same device) and an irrigation controller. $80 per Device for Less than 1 Acres of Landscape or $35/Station for More than 1 acre of Landscape
  • Turf Replacement (must receive approval prior to starting work)
    • NOTE: THIS PROGRAM IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Click SoCalWaterSmart for more information and information on a waiting list.
    • Your lawn accounts for 40 to 50 percent of your water use; conserve water and lower your water bill by replacing your turf grass.
