190th Street is an east-west arterial road for Torrance and the South Bay region. The segment between Hawthorne Boulevard and Prairie Avenue is a 4-lane roadway with no raised medians, and its average traffic volume is approximately 31,000 vehicles per day.
This project will generally provide for rehabilitation of deteriorated asphalt concrete (AC) pavement; potential repairs to concrete (PCC) pavement at intersections; curb/gutter/sidewalk repairs; upgrades to access ramps for ADA compliance; replacement of all faded roadway signs; upgrades to selected traffic signal equipment; and replacement of all illuminated street name signs at the 190th St/Prairie Ave intersection.

This project is currently in the design phase, and tentatively scheduled for construction in 2014.
The total budget for this project, including design, construction and inspection, is $770,000.
