The Bus Stop Accessiblity Improvement Project, B2011-40 provides for the construction of ADA compliant concrete pads at bus stops for the safe boarding and descending of bus passengers; installation of pads will require relocation of signs and trash cans. The primary focus of the program is to install ADA-compliant pads at locations where they currently are non-existent or damaged. This will create a continuous path of travel for both pedestrians and physically-challenged individuals that use either battery-operated carts or wheelchairs.
