AARP Tax Aide for Seniors

This year, the AARP Foundation Tax Aide program for Senior Citizens (60 years of age and over) relocated from the West Annex City Hall to 1215 El Prado Avenue in Downtown Torrance. The site is on the cul-de-sac at the corner of Sartori and El Prado Avenues. The tax counseling is provided free of charge, walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary. Be sure to bring a copy of your 2010 tax return, along with your W-2, 1099's and all forms. Please click here for an informative flyer.
The tax aide program will begin on Wednesday, February 1, and continue through Friday, April 13, 2012. The program operates Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The tax aide program is open on Lincoln's Birthday, celebrated on Monday, February 13, and on Presidents' Day on Monday, February 20, 2012. Torrance Focal Point of Aging
For a comprehensive directory of senior citizens' services, please contact the the Torrance Focal Point of Aging, which is an information and referral service for seniors in the community. The Focal Point programs are housed in the Russ Nolte Annex, adjacent to the Bartlett Senior Center in Downtown Torrance.
