The following is the candidate's statement as it appears in the sample ballot.

It has been 4 years since I was elected Mayor of the great City of Torrance!  I have enjoyed every day of being able to guide Torrance in a positive direction.

It has been a pleasure to work with Council Members who share a vision to make Torrance the best it can be!

Some of our goals for the next 4 years include:

1. To maintain a balanced budget
2. To continue to provide the necessary resources to our Police and Fire Departments so that Torrance will continue to be one of the safest cities
3. To continue upgrading our infrastructure with the paving of streets and repair of sidewalks
4. To continue to address our traffic problems and find solutions
5. To continue to enhance our senior and youth programs
6. To keep Torrance a business-friendly city by supporting the Office of Economic Development
7. To do all we can to make Torrance a "Green City"
8. To continue to support our schools
9. To always listen to-the concerns of our residents

Working together we can achieve all these goals.
