In 2012, the City of Torrance will celebrate its Centennial.  Planning for this celebration is spearheaded by the Torrance Centennial Committee that was established by the Torrance City Council on May 19, 2009.  Click here for the May 19, 2009 City Council item establishing the Torrance Centennial Committee.

The Torrance Centennial Committee is responsible for planning and recommending fun-filled and educational events in the City to celebrate the City's first 100 years.  Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce located at 3400 Torrance Boulevard.  All meetings are open to the public.  Those who wish to speak on any matter on the agenda are asked to complete a "Speaker Information" card (available at the meeting) and relay it to the staff before leaving the meeting.
