TORRANCE, Calif., - Torrance City Manager LeRoy J. Jackson sadly announces the sudden death of the City's Transit Director, Thomas Whittle. The awards ceremony, hosted by Ben McCain and Tracy Metro, was themed "Lucky 13: TCTV's Luckiest Year Yet!" Three CitiCABLE Programs Receive STAR Awards
The States of California and Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunication Officers and Advisors Inc. (SCAN NATOA Inc.) gave out awards for three Torrance CitiCABLE 3 programs. on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica. Judged by an independent panel of professionals in the television business, the city of Torrance's cable programming garnered awards in three categories this year.
Around Town in 15, CitiCABLE's newest show took 3rd place in the Magazine category.
Common Cents came in 3rd place in the Special Audience category.
The SportsDesk earned 1st place in the Sports category.
