STORMWATER BASIN ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, I-102

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
South Bay cities are required by the Regional Water Quality Control Board of Los Angeles to prevent storm water with bacteria from being discharged to the Santa Monica Bay. Therefore, the City of Torrance is improving the Amie, Henrietta, and Entradero Detention Basins in West Torrance to provide natural treatment systems, improve groundwater recharge and provide the community more opportunities for walking trails.  The City has been awarded a $3.3 million grant by the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission and a $300,000 grant from Bureau of Reclamation. The construction is scheduled for summer of 2014.

PROJECT STATUS
This project is being advertised with a March 3rd Bid Date.  Consultants who submitted proposals for Construction Management will receive Revised Scope of Work and will be asked to provide Revised Proposals.  Construction is scheduled between April and October, 2014.

$4,400,000
