City Clerk The City Clerk is directly elected by the citizens and is responsible under Section 620 and 621 of the City Charter to serve as the custodian of the City Seal and to keep the record of proceedings of the City Council including ordinances, resolutions, and minutes. In addition, the City Clerk provides information to citizens and City departments as well as support services to City departments as required.
Applications to fill a vacancy (expires June 2014) on the Torrance City Council are being accepted until 5:30 p.m. December 11, 2013.

City Clerk is now accepting applications through January 22, 2014 from qualified individuals for vacancies on various City Commissions.
