New Requirements For Travelers


The City Clerk's office is accepting U.S. PASSPORT APPLICATIONS

Service is offered BY APPOINTMENT ONLY BETWEEN 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Call 310.618.2870 for an appointment.

Make the best use of your time by using the City Clerk's appointment system. It will also speed the process if all required documents are brought when coming for the appointment. Forms can be completed prior to appointment.

BASICS for NEW PASSPORT
  • Proof of U. S. Citizenship (certified birth certificate, original naturalization paper)
  • Proof of identity (driver's license, or other government-issued ID)
  • One recent, color photograph (2" x 2")

NOTE: Minors must appear in person; both parents or legal guardians must also appear and provide identification; if one parent is unable to appear a notarized statement of consent must be submitted.

Fee payment is by check or money order PLUS a separate $25 application fee payable to City of Torrance. No credit cards accepted at this time.

BASICS for PASSPORT RENEWAL BY MAIL

Renewals can be made by mail, IF ALL of the following criteria are met:

  • Can submit most recent passport.
  • Was at least 16 years old when most recent was issued.
  • Was issued most recent passport less than 15 years ago.
  • Use the same name OR have had name changed by marriage or court order and can submit proper documentation.
